London Marathon and other April races

London Marathon – on a bright and warm day Paul W ran a superb 2:39, just afew seconds slower than his berlin time. New member Adi Gunn ran a great race but just finished outside the magic 3 hours., Chris Poulton cruised round in a leisurely (for him) 3:14. The roads and weather combined against our ultra distance runner Richard Gover  who finished in 3:35. Chris Price and Tim Stead both successfully finished under the 4 hour barrier.

Out on the fells Guisborough Moors race saw Pete Murray and Dave Bannister in action round the north york moors.

The Summer 10km Road series is now underway, and on a windy, but dry night, at Pocklington Chris Poulton (fresh from London) led the team home.  The Mens V60 was a clean sweep with Steve Boynton, Dave Lancaster, Howard Winzar finishing 1,2,3.

Emily Poulton led the ladies team in her first race in a brilliant time of 42:07. She was followed in by Julie Lawn who finished 2nd in the Ladies V45, and Gill Boynton 2nd in the F55 class.  The full results are here Acorn Pock 2017

On to the next race….
