YORK ACORN

York and District Road Race League (Summer League)

York Acorn takes part in the local Summer Road Race League in which local running clubs compete in 7 races of 10k. Our club hosts the Knavesmire run. The final event takes place in Stillington and is a staggered start handicap race, based on your times in the previous 6 races. The best 4 races (excluding the handicap) count towards the final positions. Further details can be seen at the following site: http://www.roadraceleague.org.uk/. All races are on Tuesday evenings and start at 7.30, except the Stillington handicap which starts at 7.00.

The entry fee for 2012 is £8 and Steve Collett is taking entries. He will be at the club on Tuesday 17th April to start taking entries. You can enter on the day, but it makes it a lot more hassle on the night, so please if possible enter in advance.

Help will be required for organising the Knavesmire race on 12th June, which is the race that we are responsible for.

Mike Raynes is our member on the League Committee, so any comments and suggestions on the League should be put firstly to him.
